Ewilan's Quest
Adapted from Book 1 of Pierre Bottero's best-selling trilogy, published by Éditions Rageot, with over 2 million copies sold, then adapted into graphic novels (published by Glénat) and audiobooks (published by Audiolib), Ewilan's Quest, the definitive fantasy novel for pre-teens, is now an original animated series produced by Andarta Pictures in co-production with Vivi Film and L'Incroyable Studio. The series launches simultaneously on 3 European French-language broadcasters: France Télévisions and Okoo for France, RTS in Switzerland, and RTBF in Belgium from February 14.
Ewilan's Quest follows in the tradition of epic heroic-medieval fantasy, like J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy or C.S. Lewis's beloved Chronicles of Narnia. This literary genre transcends generations and continues to thrive through audiovisual adaptations that consistently captivate audiences.
In a universe steeped in magic and mystery, the audience grows alongside the heroes. Blending epic and intimate storytelling, the series explores universal themes such as the quest for identity, the responsibility of power, and the coming of age.
The characters of the series

Camille Duciel / Ewilan Gil'Sayan
Camille, a 13-year-old orphan, suffers from not knowing her origins. Gifted and marginalized, she has grown used to relying only on herself. Rebellious against injustice and meaningless authority, she hides her weaknesses behind sharp confidence and wit. Her only support is Salim, her faithful friend. She holds an immense power, the Drawing, which makes her the Empire's last hope. But this destiny clashes with her desire to find her parents. Her quest will lead her to discover her strength, to open up to others, and to learn to trust them.

Salim Condo
Salim, Camille's only friend, grew up in a large family where he quickly learned to be independent. Quick, impulsive, and talkative, he entertains with his childlike humor but hides a great sensitivity. An outsider, he seeks meaning in his life and decides to follow Camille on her quest, driven by an admiration tinged with love. While Camille's coldness can hurt him, his loyalty remains intact. Throughout the adventure, guided by Ellana, he will discover his own path, even if it means distancing himself from her.

Ellana Caldin
Ellana, a Shadewalker guided by freedom, is an unmatched fighter. With her disarming humor, she likes to point out unjust and contradictory behavior. A nomad with little inclination for attachments, she nonetheless chooses to follow Ewilan after being saved by the group. The only one capable of rivaling Edwin, she builds a mutual respect with him that will slide into a discreet romance, in tension with her need for freedom. She also becomes Salim's mentor and a role model for Ewilan, who admires her strength and independence.

Edwin Til'Illan
Edwin, General of the Imperial Army, sees hope reborn upon discovering Ewilan, whom he commits to protecting at the risk of his life. He holds a particular affection for her, as she is the daughter of his former love. Silent, disciplined, and respected by all, he impresses with his authority. Yet Ewilan dares to challenge him, and Ellana's arrival brings him a rival worthy of his measure. Gradually, the respect he bears her transforms into a loving attachment, cracking the marble facade he had imposed on himself.

Bjorn Wil'Wayard
Bjorn, a knight in search of glory, is noble and generous, but hides beneath his boastful airs a deep desire to prove his worth. His encounter with Ewilan offers him the adventure he was looking for, and his loyalty to the group is unwavering. He admires Edwin, his perfect opposite, and considers Salim a little brother to guide and train. Together, they prepare to face adversity, while Bjorn continues seeking the greatness he has always promised himself.

Master Duom Nil'Erg
Master Duom, a renowned analyst of the Drawers' powers, guides Ewilan in exploring her gift, despite the unease it causes him. Impatient yet wise, he offers the young girl invaluable advice and insists on joining Edwin on the quest. Beneath his vulnerable appearance, his sharp intellect and erudition earn him the respect of all his companions.

Ts'lich
Terrifying and ancient creatures, the Ts'liches are Gwendalavir's greatest threat. Endowed with formidable intelligence and immense power, they seek to enslave the world and destroy the Sentinels. Their presence looms like a shadow over Ewilan's quest.
